Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
a. What you tell us in chat. When you chat with Younghee, we process the messages you type — for example your skin concerns, skin type, age range, budget, and questions. You do not need an account to chat.
b. What we collect if you create an account. If you sign in with Google or an email "magic link," we collect:
- Your email address
- Your name and profile photo (if you sign in with Google)
- Your skin profile, if you save it (age range, skin type, concern, priority, routine, skin tone)
- Products you save ("saved picks")
c. Information collected automatically. A small browser-storage flag ("yh_seen") to remember whether you've visited before, and — if you sign in — a session token to keep you logged in. We also log basic interaction events to improve the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies; the Service sets no cookies at all.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To understand your skin needs and recommend suitable K-beauty products
- To remember your skin profile and saved products (if you have an account)
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- To communicate with you (for example, login emails)
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI Processing
To generate Younghee's responses, the messages you send — and, if you're signed in, your saved name and skin profile/picks — are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic, "Claude") to personalize recommendations. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal or medical details you wouldn't want processed this way. Younghee is not a doctor and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
4. Service Providers & Third Parties
We rely on trusted providers, each processing data only to provide its service to us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Google (sign-in), Anthropic (AI recommendations), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (login emails).
Affiliate links. When you click a "shop" link, you leave younghee.beauty for a third-party retailer (e.g., YesStyle, Olive Young) or affiliate network (e.g., Awin). Their own privacy policies govern what they collect there. We may earn a commission — see our Affiliate Disclosure. We do not share your skin profile or account details with these retailers.
5. Your Choices & Rights
- Edit your profile any time in "My skin profile."
- Access or delete your data — email hello@younghee.beauty to request a copy or deletion of your account and saved data.
- Use without an account — you can chat without signing in.
Depending on where you live (e.g., California/CCPA, EU & UK/GDPR, Korea/PIPA), you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, and objection. Contact us to exercise them.
6. Data Retention
We keep account information until you ask us to delete it or your account is closed. Basic usage logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and improve the Service.
7. International Users
We operate from South Korea, and our providers may process data in South Korea, the United States, and elsewhere. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations. The Service is intended primarily for users in the United States and is not directed at the European Union or European Economic Area.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@younghee.beauty and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information (for example, secure authentication and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and note significant changes on the Service.
